Caloundra Markets wants everyone to be able to find our markets, plan a visit and get in touch. We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What we've done

• A "Skip to main content" link and a visible focus outline for keyboard users
• Form fields have labels, and form messages are announced to screen readers
• Colours are chosen to meet contrast requirements, in both light and dark modes
• Moving content can be paused with the "Pause animations" button in the footer, and the website respects your device's reduced-motion setting
• Every market on the map is also listed in text, with its location, on the Our Markets page and on its own page

Known limitations

• Interactive map: the map is hard to use without a mouse or touch screen. The same market details, including locations and directions links, are on the Our Markets page and on each market's page.
• Image descriptions: some older photos have a general description rather than one written for that photo. We're working through them.
• Booking platform: stall bookings are made on caloundra.tekram.com.au, which is a separate website. If anything there is hard to use, contact us and we'll help you book.
• Older documents and social media posts: some older downloads and posts we link to may not be fully accessible. Ask us and we'll provide the information in another format.
